Shipping, Ordering and Terms

Ordering

All orders should be placed via our website, we do not currently accept orders by phone.

If you can add an item to the shopping cart then it is in stock. If you receive an out of stock message then consider our made to order service.

If you experience any issues ordering please use the Contact Us page, if you let us know what you are trying to order, your zipcode and an email address we can send you an invoice link via email.  

Shipping

US orders are sent using USPS Priority Shipping which takes 2-3 days and you will receive a tracking number.

For international orders we are now using DHL for the majority of international orders and delivery is typically within 4-5 Business days.
Please note that in order to send via DHL we need the recipient's telephone number.

We historically used Express Mail International and delivery times varied from 1-3 weeks with 8-10 days being the average. The variations were really caused by how quickly the package is processed through customs.  

International Buyers – Please Note: 
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
In order to minimize both shipping costs and potential import duties we do sell the backup camera kits without that camera. Several international customers have successfully taken this approach and the camera we use is the Kenwood CMOS-220 if you want to check local availability.

Paying

If you don't have a PayPal account or just want to pay with a credit card just click the Checkout button

There will then be a "Don't have a PayPal account?" section where you can securely enter a credit card.


Replacement items

We take many extra precautions to reduce potential issues including fully bench testing every kit before shipping, but obviously failures or intermittent problems are still a possibility however slim.

Of course you always have the option to return any product we sell for a full refund within 30 days (see terms), but if you want to exchange merchandise, we make that easy too.

For the sake of speed and simplicity, we do not do traditional “exchanges”, but rather we invite you to return any product you wish and just ask that you place a new order for the product(s) you’d like to have in exchange. You have the choice to place your exchange order right away (cross-ship) or wait until your return reaches us (non-cross ship).

Here are some features that make our return process easy and inexpensive:

  • We do not charge restocking fees for returns of any merchandise
  • When an order is placed for merchandise to replace returned merchandise the following happens:
    • When the returned item is received the item is tested and if the item is found to be faulty then a full refund is issued including shipping
    • If the item is not faulty and kit is complete a full refund is issued for the cost of the goods minus the original shipping costs
Money Back Guarantee/Refund Policy

All merchandise unless otherwise indicated may be returned within 30 days from the original invoice date for a refund. A return authorization number is required for all returns.

Returning Products For Any Reason

When returning products the customer is responsible for the goods until they are received by us (Car Kit Company), please ensure the package is adequately insured and tracking is recommended. 

Physical Damage Policy

Physical damage to any product purchased at CarKitCompany.com will effectively void warranty coverage. Physical damage includes but is not limited to improper handling and/or any other type of damage sustained by irregular usage. 

Sales Tax

Sales tax is only required for orders shipping into states where we have or may have nexus for state tax purposes under applicable laws. Therefore, all orders shipping into New Jersey will be charged applicable state sales tax.

Privacy

CarKitCompany.com respects your privacy. We will not under any circumstances sell or release your information to anyone except as outlined in our privacy policy. All of the information obtained from our Web site will be used for processing purposes only. The only e-mails you will receive from CarKitCompany.com are updates to any recent orders and/or returns.
