Q: What cable do I need to play video from my iPod/Pad on the car screen?
A: On the US cars the optional AV cable allow audio/video input via three RCA connectors (the Red/White/Yellow ones). You will need a cable like this one (depending on your device) http://astore.amazon.com/bdlhome-20/detail/B001H9NX3O
PLEASE NOTE: The Apple RCA cable won't work with an iPhone 5 and above as Apple remove support for Analog video with the introduction of the Lightning connector. With the Apple devices with lightning connector you would need to use the Lightning to HDMI cable from Apple and then a HDMI to RCA adapter.
Q: Is this only for the US MY2011+ year model
A: There is a bypass kit for the other models, but yes this kit is only for the US 2011+ cars that have the latest AV/Nav system from Nissan. Please also note that the US solution has the option of the Aux AV input which isn't available of non US Cars.
Q: Can you tell me about the cost, I've seen DIY instructions that only require cheap parts?
A: The value in this kit is it is completly plug and play and the plug and play harness sets this solution apart from all the others. There are no wires to cut and the kit could be removed at anytime returning the car to the factory state. This kit can be installed in 15-20 minutes by simply following the instructions, DIY solutions require cutting and splicing wires which is very time consuming and requires technical knowledge. Our kits also offer additional benefits like being able to use the Homelink buttons on the mirror.
