Q: What do I need to install?

A: The following Tools are required

Q: Does the kit come with full instructions?

A: Yes the kit contains full instructions.

Q: I see the EU cars cannot support the Auxiliary cable, how does the front camera solution vary in that case?

A: With the EU cars the front camera solution involves sharing the rear camera input and allowing switching from front to rear cameras. This approach has one downside, which is that if enabled the AV/NAV system superimposes the grid lines for the reversing camera which means you either have to:

  1. Put up with the rear grid lines on the front camera image when selected 
  2. Turn off the grid lines so they don't appear on the front or rear camera images
Q: Why do I need the rear camera harness when I'm adding a front camera?

A: As mentioned above, with the EU cars the front camera solution involves sharing the rear camera input and allowing switching from front to rear cameras.  Therefore:

If f you have a Factory rear camera you need the harness to allow us to intercept that signal and allow you to switch between Front and Rear cameras

If you don't have a rear camera currently you need the harness to give us a video input. You can either purchase just the harness or the harness and the rear camera.

Q: Can you tell me about the cost, I've seen DIY instructions that only require cheap parts?

A: The value in this kit is it is completely plug and play and the plug and play harness sets this solution apart from all the others. There are no wires to cut and the kit could be removed at anytime returning the car to the factory state. This kit can be installed in 15-20 minutes by simply following the instructions, DIY solutions require cutting and splicing wires which is very time consuming and requires technical knowledge. Our kits also offer additional benefits like being able to use the Homelink buttons on the mirror.
