It doesn’t get easier than this!We offer two options “Fortin Based” or “Directed Based”. As stand-alone Remote Starts they are almost identical. Both allow starting the car using the factory keyfob by pressing lock button 3 times (lock x3). The difference is that one is using Fortin technology and the other using Directed. Installation is the same with both kits and can be installed in 10-15 minutes.The Directed based kit is really only recommended for those wishing to add SmartStart which allows control via smartphone (SmartStart requires an additional module and an annual subscription). The SmartStart system is made by Directed and is therefore 100% compatible with our Directed based kit.SmartStart UPDATE: Please be aware that Directed Electronics will no longer allow a customer to set up an account to activate a Smartstart module. Previously you could purchase from say Amazon and then activate yourself. Now you will need the module to be activated by a dealer/installer. The physical install is still plug&play but activation requires a dealer/installer. |
